Ambiguity? Complexity?
Bring it on.

Hi, I'm Ben Pappalardo. Design is more than just a pretty face. It's form and function. It cares about people. When it's good, it's invisible. Design is the 10,000 decisions that mask the complexity inherent in our world, and empower your customers to get things done.

Let's build something intuitive that makes your customers feel smart.

Ben is someone that focuses hard on information architecture and getting the foundations right for every prototype before moving on to the details.

He is both strong in conviction for best practices with UX AND flexible to feedback and changing requirements. It was a pleasure to work together.

I can't thank Ben enough for helping out the way he did. This was our first experience asking for UX help and I'm certain it won't be the last because of the successful result.

Never Stop Questioning

Asking the right questions at the right time moves you from abstract to concrete. Each step depends on its predecessors for valuable context.

🔍

1. Design Thinking

What is the desired business outcome? Who are the users and what do they expect? What research activities can help us get the information we need?

🤩

4. Visual Design

Is content presented in a clear and logical manner? How will the brand language express itself? Which features and elements should draw the most attention?

🏠

2. Information Architecture

How is the content organized? What are the objects in the problem space and what are their properties? How are the objects related? What actions can users take?

💠

5. Design Systems

Are elements presented consistently throughout the experience? Are the components documented? Are designers and developers on the same page?

👉🏼

3. Interaction Design

What tasks can users perform? What are the steps involved in each task? What is their priority? How does the application behave as a result of user input?

⚡

6. Front End Dev

Will the designs translate to code? Is the app accessible to people with disabilities? Can front-end code be generated from AI prompts?
